Structural Oak
Oak has been used in construction since time began, its homegrown strength is unmatched and often referred to as the king of English trees! Oak is extremely strong, dense, durable and resistant to fungal attacks, which makes it less prone to decay and rotting. Added to this is oaks natural beauty making it the number one choice for beams, lintels, purlins etc.
Oak trusses can be used not only for the supporting structure of your new roof but add character and charm too.
Using traditional methods we can supply your trusses either pre-assembled or in kit form, with each joint labelled and everything required to dowel the mortise and tenon joints of your trusses together.
We also supply new and reclaimed oak beams to add character to your build, why not ask your structural engineer about using a beautiful oak beam instead of a steel rsj.
